１４日朝、アピアに近づいてＶＨＦで連絡すると、モーターボートがやってきて いやおう無くマリーナの空きバースまで誘導されました。水、電気も来ていて立派なマリーナで、タヒチなどで会ったことがあるヨットなど外国からのヨットが１０隻くらい居ます。
昼前に入港したのに、三々五々各部署の係官（殆ど女性）がやってきて結局イミグレーションは来ず、月曜に持ち越しで能率悪いことはなはだしい。
１5日は修理。マストへ３回も上がってやっとジブハリヤードをマストの方へ寄せるハリヤードリテーナの取り付けに成功。ファーラーとハリヤードトップのなす角は１０度とマニュアルに書いてあるのに、今までのは６０度以上で、無理な力がかかって滑車が片べりしたのでしょう。
１6日はレンタカーで観光。スケールの大きな滝、海岸の地面に大きな縦穴が開いていて底がきれいな海水のプールになっているところなど行きました。このプールで泳ぎましたが、大きなかすみ鯵なども居ました。底に洞窟があり外海とつながっています。アメリカンサモアでもそうでしたが、各家には別棟として、大きな屋根を沢山の周囲の柱で支えた吹き抜けのファレと呼ばれる建物があって、家族がそこで団欒を過ごすそうです。
As soon as we entered Apia harbor, on Oct14, a power boat came and lead KING BEE into a nice new marina, with electricity and water supply at each slip. surrounding scenery is also nice, big difference from PagoPago. However, entrance procedure was carried out very slowly being visited by each section personnel one by one every 1-2hours. Immigration did not finish and told to wait till Monday. But they said they admit free landing.
15th was maintenance day. I climbed up the mast three times and installed a new Jib Halyard Retainer.
Today,16th, we did sightseeing by a rent car. We visited a water fall with a large scale land scape, and a strange big hole near a coast of which the bottom is clear blue sea water pool with fairly large fish.
As in American Samoa, each house has a separate building called Fa-re. A big roof is supported by many columns with no wall, wind blow thru type. Family spend time together there and even sleep.
