昨日、給油後１６３０にオプア出港, 穏やかな海を機帆走で真北へ９０M（１７０ｋｍ）来ました。ヌメアは北北西ですが１８日から西方は強風域になるとのことなので２５度Sまで真北へ進み、その後西北西に変針の予定。

Left Opua at 16:30 yesterday, and ran 90M toward North to avoid the predicted strong wind zone which will arise in the west around April18. Will continue Northing to 25degS.Then veer to WNW toward Noumea.

１４日出航予定

　４月１０,１１日とコクピット周りのニス塗り、ドジャー防水剤塗布、エンジンオイル・エレメント交換、ウィンドラス配線点検、一部改良など諸整備作業を実施。

　池原さんは１１日晴れだったので観光。

Tutukakaで作動しなかったウィンドラスはオプアではうそのように順調に作動、原因は不明のままで、少し気味がわるいです。

　４月１２日朝、池原さんはバスでオークランドへ（２泊後帰国予定）。

　その後、近くに係留しているヨットCasa Nostra（４６ｆｔ）のドイツ人夫妻AndreasとMigdalyさんのお誘いで彼らの車でKerikeriへ買い物、観光に連れて行っていただきました。彼らは７年ほど前に日本へ行き、長崎サンセットマリーナ、福田マリーナなどで計２年くらい滞在したそうです。

　船内での夕食に招待され、日本での写真、パタゴニア海岸クルージング、ホーン岬上陸などの珍しい写真を見せてくれて話が弾みました。

　４月１３日、気象海洋（株）の週間天気予報を見ていたら、NZ北方近海はしばらく高気圧に覆われて静かだが、１８日頃から荒れ模様になりそうだったので、馬場さんに相談、１４日夕には出港し早めに南緯２５度まで行ったたほうがいい、と言うことになりました。

　と、言うことで今朝カスタムに出かけ手続き完了、午後３時出港予定です。

　On Aprill 10,and11, we did various maintenance works such as, varnish painting around the cockpit, changing the engine oil. windlass wiring check and its improvements of the windlass, etc. The windlass worked without any problem after arrival at Opua. So, the trouble cause has not been found yet.

   Ikehara-san left Opua on April 12th morning by bus. After that, German couple of nearby yacht " Casa Nostra" , Andreas and Migdaly kindly took us to Kerikeri by their car for shopping and sightseeing. They had visited Japan on their yacht and stayed about 2years mainly in Nagasaki.

   Baba-san( Weather forecaster for fishermens' boats and yachts) on telephone said we had better leave NZ on April 14, because NZ area will become rough again from April 18 and we'd better go close to Latitude 25S before then.. So, we will leave here this afternoon.

　４月６日、町近くのTown Basin Marinaで隣の隣のSinaという船から誘われたので、夕方ビールを飲みに行きました。Noel Barrottさんはここに住む船大工で３０年以上前、元サモア人の奥さんLiteraさんと二人でエンジンが付いてない３８フィートの自作木造ヨットで日本に行ったことがあるそうです。今は５２フィートの自作木造船に乗ってます。それぞれの船で一回ずつ世界を回ったそう。

　４月８日、天候が好転しつつあるのでワンガレイを出て約３０M北へ走ってTutukaka　へ移動しました。午後２時到着。南東からのうねりがまだ高くて、入り口は大荒れ、普通なら入れない状況でしたが、前回入ってるので何とかコースがわかり無事湾内へ進入しました。マリーナに電話すると「今干潮なので５時まで入れないから湾内で待て」とのこと。ところがアンカリングしようとしたらどうやってもウィンドラスが動かない。仕方ないのでスターンから小型アンカーを入れました。

　４月９日朝８時半出港、１７００にオプア到着。

  King Bee left Whangarei on April 8 morning, and arrived at Tutukaka at 2PM. We had to wait till 5PM anchoring in the Bay because of low tide for entering the marina.But the windlass did not work and we had to rely upon the small stern anchor.On April 9, we moved to Opua marina under very nice day with just fair wind.

現地時間８日午前８時２０分にワンガレイWhangarei を出航し、ツツカカTutukaka
に１４時過ぎに到着しましたが、干潮のため１７時まで湾内で錨を下して潮待ちしてから無事マリーナに着きました。
　今回ツツカカ湾の入口付近は波が強く、荒れていたため、入口がたいへん分かりにくく困りました。明日はオプアOpua　へ移動します。

　昨日５日（木）、雨の合間を縫って船底塗装２回目を実施、船尾の船名も貼り付けに来てくれ、午後３時に滑り込みセーフで船を水面へ下ろすことができました。

　そして今朝６日（金）町中心の大きなマリーナに移動しました。

　今日はスーパーも休み、明日は開けるそうなので、買い物デーとし、日曜（８日）朝出港してOpuaへ向かう途中にあるTutukaka　Marinaに行く予定です。そして９日月曜にOpua に入ります。

　気象予報が許せば１５日ころOpua を出てニューカレドニアへ向かいたいと思っています。

　Yesterday, April 5, KING BEE was marginally put back on the water at around 3PM after finishing the anti-foul painting and transom boat boat name attachment. And we moved to Town Basin marina this morning.

  We plan to leave Whangarei on Sunday morning and stay one night at Tutukaka Marina, and then will arrive at Opua on Monday(9th). If weather forecast allows we want to leave NZ around April 15.

　

池原さん到着

４月２日（月）午後、池原さんが日本から無事ワンガレイに到着しました。その後雨が降り出し、火曜、水曜は風雨が強くなったので、”嵐を呼ぶ男”の到着だとからかってます（ちょっと古いか！）。

　それでも、雨の合間を縫って火曜日、船底塗料の一回目塗装ほぼ実施。今日水曜、２回目塗りを始めましたが、今また雨が降り出したので一時休止中です。何とか今日中に仕上げ、塗装屋さんにも、横線入れとプロペラ塗装、船名貼り付けを今日中にやって欲しいとお願いしました。そして明日５日にKING BEEを水面に降ろしたいと思ってます。そうでないと６日から９日まで４日間はイースターホリデーでスケジュールが何日も遅れてしまうので・・・。                                                            

Ikehara-san arrived here on Monday(April2). Since then, the weather has become stormy. However, we managed to finish first coat of anti-foul paint on the bottom. We started its second coat this morning, but rain started  .  From   Friday, four days  Easter Holydays start. So, If I cannot put KING BEE on the water on  Thursday , a couple of days Schdule delay may occur.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

 

ワンガレイ整備最終段階

 今週日曜（２５日）に、これから五ヶ所湾までずっとご一緒してくれる竹内さんがワンガレイに到着、早速BBQパーティーに一緒に参加しました。竹内さんは英語がお上手で感心しました。シングルハンド愛好家なのでヨット整備、料理もなかなかでこれから心強いです。
　竹内さんが晴天を土産に持ってきてくれたようで、珍しく今週は今日（金）までずっと晴れ、いろいろ整備が進みました。
 船体の塗装はあと線を入れて船名を書くところまで来ました。
 バウパルピットが一部折れ曲がってましたが、相談すると切ったり溶接したりして半日で元通りに直してくれました（２万３千円)。
　セール修理も完了。
　 また、ギャレーのシンクが小さく二つ合わせたもので使いにくかったので、大きいシンクひとつにならないか相談すると、すぐカタログで適当なのを見つけ、継ぎ手も一緒に入手してくれたので、僕一人で付け替えることができました。
　と、言うわけでここRiverside　Drive Marinaは敷地内に各専門分野の会社、船具屋が入っていて何でもプロ的にすぐ、適切にやってくれ大変便利で助かります。しかもそれぞれ相当なプロと見ました。
　
 来週月曜か火曜に船底を塗り替えて水面へ降ろし、天候を見てOpua方向へ移動したいと思っています。

　Last Sunday, Takeuchi-san, who will sail together all the way to Gokasho-Bay(Home Port), arrived at Whangarei, and participated in the weekly BBQ party. He spoke English surprisingly well.
   As if Takeuchi-san brought here, the weather has been good throughout this week, and various maintenance works proceeded. The hull was painted dark blue,but lines and letteres are to be done on next Monday. Heavily bent bow pulpit was easily repaired in half day by cutting and welding on the spot. Sail repair was completed. The galley sinks which were separated into two small ones could have been replaced to single large one. This place is very convenient with several pepair companies of different covering areas in the same site .
   I am expecting to repaint anti-foul bottom painting early next week and then move toward Opua .
