 昨日はＫａｐａという島の泊地で一泊し昼間シュノーケリングしました。いい泊地なのかヨットが１０隻くらいいました。今日は１時間くらい走った西のＮｕａｐａｐｕ　島に泊まっていますが、雨がひどくて１時間くらい上陸して村を見ただけ。

 明日１１月１日にＨａａｐａｉ　へ移動する予定でしたが風雨がまだひどいようなので２日に延期します。

 Yesterday we anchored in the west of Kapa Is. and enjoyed snorkeling. Today we are anchoring beside Nuapapu Is. but the rain is heavy and stayed on board except one hour village walk in the afternoon. I will postpone the movement to Haapai till Nov.2.

 ＶａｖａｕのＮｅｉａｆｕには２７,２８日と２泊しました。大きな教会、レストラン、インターネットカフェもある町でニウアトプタプとは雲泥の差。１３０ｍくらいの山に登りましたが入り組んだ海の景色がすばらしかった。

 ２８日夕方、ＡｎｄｒｅｗさんのＣａｌａｍｉａ　が入港してきて一緒にレストランで夕食、話が弾みました。Ａｎｄｒｅｗ　さん夫妻は共に医者でニウアトプタプには看護婦一人のみなので奉仕で手伝ってたそう。教会はいくつもあるのに医者がいない。教会は寄付金を公開して強引に集金し、建物に金をかけて住民がかわいそう、と嘆いていました。

 昨日２９日は近くのＴａｐａｎａという島の横で停泊。島のスペイン人レストランで夕食。建物も自作らしく素朴でしたがスペイン料理のコースはおいしかった。

 今日、明日と近所で停泊し１１月１日にハーパイへ南下の予定です。

 We stayed at Neiafu on 27th and 28th. The view from the top of 130m hill top was beautiful.

 In the evening of 28th, we enjoyed dinner together with 4 members of Calamia of Andrew. Andrew and Meridith are medical doctors and were assisting a nurse (no doctor) in Niuatoputapu. voluntarily.

   On 29th we stayed beside Tapana Is. and enjoyed Spanish course dinner at a restaurant which they themselves must have made .We are planning to move to Haapai on Nov.1.

本日午前１０時ころ無事ババウのＮｅｉａｆｕ港に到着しブイに係留しました。
さすがヨット天国、周りには５０隻以上のヨットがブイに係留されています。
曇り時々雨で蒸し暑いです。
Ｎｅｉａｆｕに２泊し後は近くの美しいアンカリング地３箇所くらいに停泊して遊ぼうと思ってます。

About  around 10AM , we arrived at Neiafu,Vavau, and moored to a buoy.
 More than 50 yachts are moored, paradise for yachts !
Probably 2 nights at Neiafu and 3 nights at surrounding nice anchoring places are our plan. now.

　昨夕１８：１５ニウアトプタプ出港、南下中。曇り時々雨。明日朝ババウ到着予定。

トンガはババウ・グループ、ハーパイ・グループ、トンガタプ・グループと群島が南へ続きます。東には７０００ｍ級の海溝がありますが、今通ってるところは数百ｍ、ところどころ急に４０ｍくらいになるピークがあります。

　Left Niuatoputapu last evening and mostly motoring toward south. We'll arrive at Vavau tomorrow morning. 7000m trench in the east. Where we are sailing is several hundred meters. Shallow peaks of about 40m exist here and there.

 結局土日は手続きしてもらえず、基本的に船上滞在。

今日２４日（月）朝、やってきた二人をゴムボートで送迎し手続き完。

午後上陸して小さな町へ行って、真水がわいている池で水泳しました。

町には電気もなく、夜は真っ暗。家は小さく、店も殆どありません。もちろんレストランもなし。子供は明るいが、大人は愛想はいいもののどこか暗い感じ。

 湾内に２年もトンガに滞在していると言うヨットが泊まっていて、トンガクルージングについて教えてもらいました。今日はそのヨットの人たち４人を招いて、釣った鰹のたたきで晩餐です。

明日夕Ｖａｖａｕに向け出港、２７日朝到着します。

　We stayed on the boat two days. Today, Monday, government people came on board and finished entry procedure. In the afternoon we landed and enjoyed bathing in a fresh water spring pool. Town is small with virtually no shops, no restaurant. No electricity supply, and villages are dark at night. Children are cheerful. Adults are a bit dim.

今朝８時過ぎにニウアトプタプ（トンガ）に無事入港しました。昨夜は急に南風が２０ｋt超になりよく揺れました。

We arrived at Niuatoputapu safely this morning.
