天候不順続いてます

ＮＺに来てからもう１０日経ちました。その間晴れた日は３日くらいで後は雨混じりか曇り。こちらの人は、今年は不順で夏がなかった、といっています。

現在、ＮＺ北島の少し北に９９５ｍｂの低気圧があり、明日午後にかけてワンガレイあたりを通過するそうです。昨夜から風雨強く、２５ｋｔくらい吹いて、寝てるとヨットがブルブル震えて気味が悪かったぁー。更に悪化すると困るなー。塗装屋さんも、下塗り（グレー）はしたもののダークブルーの最終塗装はお預けです。航海灯取り付け、ギャレーランプを明るいＬＥＤランプに交換、コクピットロッカーのふた修理くらいしかやれてなくて、また雨で困ってます。
　１６日（金）、昨年皆で何回も食べに行った、Ｔｏｗｎ　Ｂａｓｉｎ　Ｍａｒｉｎａ（町中心近くの大きなマリーナ）にあるＲｅｖａ’ｓというレストランで夕食しました。一時帰国中にこのレストランを含む景色の油絵を描いたので、そのＡ４の写真をＲｅｖａさんという７０台の女将さんに渡したら、喜んでくれ、ビール、ワイン、コーヒーをサービスしていただきました。ラッキー！

　ここＲｉｖｅｒｓｉｄｅ　Ｄｒｉｖｅ　Ｍｒｉｎａでヨットに寝泊りしてる人たちが毎週日曜の夕方ＢＢＱパーティーをしてると聞き、昨日（１８日）、ステーキ肉とシェアー用料理（ポテトチップにオニオンスライス、マヨネーズ掛け一皿、ムール貝の酒蒸し一鍋）持参で参加、いろんな国から来てるヨッティーたちと歓談しました。皆さん４月半ばに出港してそれぞれの目的地を目指すようです。

　People here say summer did not come this year. Since I came here, fine days were only about three days. The other days were cloudy or rainy. There exists now a 995hP Low near the northern most cape of North Island., and it is coming down and will pass near here tomorrow morning. It has been rainy and windy since last night, KING BEE sometimes vibrated and I woke up.
   Last Friday evening, I ate dinner at Reva's  restaurant which was included  in my oil painting I paited while temporarily in Japan. The owner Reva-san was there ,so I showed her a photo of my painting..She kindly praised it and invited me for free drinks(Beer,Wine,Coffee) . Lucky!
   The yachties staying in each yacht here enjoy BBQ every Sunday evening. I participated yesterday for the first time. Talking with yachties from all over the world was very enjoyable.

　３月９日朝オークランドに到着。

丹羽徳子さんが以前一緒にメルボルンー大阪レースに出られた智子さんという方が、オークランドに今住んでおられ、その方に日本食材店やヨット関係の店に車でご案内いただき大変助かりました。

　買い物の後、一人でハーバーへ散歩に出かけましたが、ボルボオーシャンレースの中国ーＮＺレグの到着がこの週末だ、ということでテントが立ち並び大賑わい。

 小さなバスのような乗り物を油圧ピストンで支えて上下左右に揺らせ、中ではスクリーンに映像を見せて、座ってる客にレース艇に乗ってる感覚を経験させるシミュレータや、ウィンチを回してセール揚げの秒時を競う装置などいろいろあり楽しませてくれました。

　ホテルで１泊し１０日（土）午前はまたハーバー付近を散歩の後、午後１時のバスでＷｈａｎｇａｒｅｉへ。４時前到着。タクシー会社が電話に出ないので歩いてＲｉｖｅｒｓｉｄｅ　Ｄｒｉｖｅ　Ｍａｒｉｎａへ行く。

　ＫＩＮＧ　ＢＥＥは無事で、前もって頼んでいたとおり、はしご、電源も用意されていて、問題なく中ヘ入りました。

　翌１１日（日）は食料買出し。１０ｋｇの米、ビール、食料など沢山リュック、袋の入れて、徒歩２０分はきつかった。

 １２日からは整備開始。両色灯取り付けにてこずってます。アメリカズカップの日本チャレンジで蒲郡に８ヶ月間居たというＣａｌｉｂｒｅ　ＳａｉｌのＤａｖｉｄさんが、修理のためジブとステースルを取りに来てくれました。船体塗装のための下地処理をぼちぼち始めてくれてます。

　ボルボオーシャンレースは全艇１１日（日）に到着したそうです。上海から走って全艇同日入港は凄い接戦！今週末１８日に次のレグのスタートで、見物に行きたいところですが、やることが多くてはかどらないのであきらめます。

 Auckland Harbor was crowded with many tents, shops, attractions. expecting goal-in of Volvo Ocean Race yachts on weekends(10th and 11th).Among them, Yacht riding simulator was interesting which moves violently with rough sea video in the front screen.

 After staying one night at Auckland and doing shopping of Japanese foods and yachts equipments and books, I moved to Whangarei on Mar.10.

KING BEE was on the hard stand at Riverside Drive Marina without any problem, and I entered and slept from that night.

 I started maintenance, calling a sail repair company, talking with the hull painting company personnel, etc.

いよいよニュージーランドへ出発

いよいよ明朝９時３０分中部空港発の大韓航空で、仁川経由オークランドへ行きます。オークランドヘは９日朝到着予定。日本食の食糧品店で買い物をして、１０日（土）にバスでWhangareiへ約３時間かけて移動します。
　
　今回の航海に同乗してくれる人が、皆さんのご紹介のおかげでやっと決まりました。次の方々です。
　
竹内茂樹さん（６６歳）：全航程参加。
　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　横浜市在住。Sence of Wind 　Ⅱ（エスプリデュパン３０）
　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　のオーナーで、九州その他、日本各地をシングルハン
　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　ドで回ってこられた。

横田幸一さん（５２歳）：バヌアツからグアムまで参加。
　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　長野県飯田市在住。八百万神（J-42）のオーナー。
　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　レース経験も豊富で若く頼もしい。

丹羽豊治さん（６８歳）：グアムから五か所まで参加。
　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　四日市市在住。Amorphas（ヤマハ３１）のオーナー。
　　　　　　　　　　　　　　津ヨットクラブの事務局長。大ベテランで期待して
　　　　　　　　　　　　　　います。　
　　
　３月２５日に竹内さんがWhangareiに来る予定で、整備の手伝いをしてもらいます。

塗装準備がWhangareiで始まりました。

ここ数年の九州、小笠原、沖縄、北海道への航海と昨年の太平洋航海前半で、ハル表面に傷が沢山ついたり、光沢がなくなったりしていました。さらに昨年、マルケサスでチェーン付き小アンカーを引っかけたままウィンドラスで主アンカーを巻き上げて、一晩気が付かずに走ったため、船首付近に白く帯状の塗装剥がれができ、みっともなくなったのでワンガレイでハル塗装を頼んで帰りましたが、最近、表面のサンディングによりダークブルーの塗装がなくなり、元の白色になった写真が現地から届きました。なんだか別のヨットのような気がします。

　３月上旬に僕がワンガレイに到着してから最終塗装しますが、やはりまた格好よくダークブルーに塗ってもらおうと思っています。
　　　
　　KING BEE's hull had got a lot of scraches and lost gloss through past years cruising to Kyushu, Ogasawara,Okinawa and Hokkaido. What's more, she got two white bands near bow being scrubbed by a small anchor with chain which had been caught, wound up and run hanging one night at Marquesas.
So, I had asked a painting company to repaint her hull before leaving Whangarei last December. Now, they finished sanding and sent me photos of white hull KING BEE . She looks like another boat.

KING BEE's Cruising Plan of this year from NZ to Japan

KING BEE is now kept ahore in Whangarei, NZ. I have made the following tentative plan leaving NZ in April  and returning to Japan in August.

April 14 : Leave Opua,NZ and sail 885M toward NW.
April23 : Arrive at Noumea. Stay in New Caledonia for 3 weeks visiting Ile des Pins and Loyalty Islands.
May14 : Leave Ouvea Is.(Loyalty Islands) and sail 220M toward NNE.
May16 : Arrive at Port-Vila, Vanuatu. Stay in Vanuatu for 3weeks visiting various islands .
June7  :  Leave Espiritu Santo of Vanuatu and sail 750M toward NW.
June14 : Arrive at Gizo, Solomon. Stay a few days for rest. However, skipping Gizo is also a candidate.
June18 : Leave Gizo and sail 900M toward N.
June27 : Arrive at Pohnpei(Federal States of Micronesia) . Stay about 10days enjoying sightseeing ,etc..
July 6 : Leava Pohnpei and sail 890M toward WNW.
July15 : Arrive at Guam. Stay about a week.
July22 : Leave Guam and sail 825M toward NNW.
July30 : Arrive at Ogasawaga.                                August 5 : Leave Ogasawara and sail 540M to NW.
August 10 : Arrive at Shima Yacht Harbor(KING BEE's home port)

Scince Tokuko-san and Takao-san, who sailed together throughout last year's crusing, cannot join this year,
I am talking to Shima Yacht Harbor members and other friends about possibility of sailing together.

今年の航海予定

今年は4月にニュージーランドを出て8月に日本へ帰る予定で、次の案を作りました。

4月14日　オプア出港。　８８５Ｍ走って
4月23日　ニューカレドニア、ヌーメア着。イルデパン島、ロイヤルティー諸島などで遊んで、
5月14日　ウベア島（ロイヤルティー諸島）出港。２２０Ｍ北北東へ走って、
5月16日　バヌアツ首都ポートビラ着。島々を巡り約3週間遊んで、
6月7日　 バヌアツ・サント島出港。　７５０Ｍ北西へ走って
6月14日　ソロモン・ギゾ着。4泊し、補給と休養。（ギゾ省略しポナペ直行も検討中）
6月18日　ギゾ出港。９００Ｍ北へ走って、
6月27日　ポナペ（ポンペイ）着。約10日間観光、海水浴、
7月6日    ポナペ出港。８９０Ｍ西北西へ走って、
7月15日  グアム着。1週間滞在
7月22日  グアム出港。８２５Ｍ北へ走って、
7月30日   小笠原着。8月5日小笠原出港し５４０Ｍ北西へ走って、
8月10日　志摩ヨットハーバー到着

昨年、ずっとご一緒していただいた丹羽徳子さん、と相棒の高岡氏が、今年は諸事情で参加されないので、目下参加していただけるメンバーを調整中です。

ヨット上架して帰国

11月30日朝11時ころTown Basin Marinaから5分ばかり川を下って、左岸にあるRiverside Drive Marinaのポンツーンへ移動し係留。ガンネル、デッキなどのニス塗りを実施。
　12月1日昼過ぎに、ベルトが2本付いた門型クレーンでkING BEEを引上げて保管場所へ移動し、これから約3か月余り居座ることになる船台に無事収めることができました。ここはMarinaというもののYacht Yardを兼ねており陸上敷地内に塗装会社、エンジン整備会社、金属加工会社があります。早速塗装会社の人を呼び、船体塗装の見積もりを依頼。ＮＺでは規則により吹付塗装は室内でしか認められないから、マストを外さねばならなず費用が嵩むが、はけ塗り塗装ならその必要がなく経済的とのことで、少し刷毛あとが残るが我慢することで後者を選択しました。

　徳子さんは11月29日10時ワンガレイ発のインターシティーバスで一足早くオークランドへ行き、友人に会って翌日帰国されました。
　山登り好きの高岡さんはミルフォードサウンドの国立トレッキングコースにチャレンジするため12月2日出発。一日遅れて3日、田口さんと私でバスに乗りオークランドへ移動し、翌4日の飛行機便でソウル経由名古屋へ無事帰りつき、太平洋航海前半を終了しました。

　On Nov.29 ,Tokuko-san went to Aukland to see her friend and returned to Japan next day.
  On Nov.30, we moved to Riverside Drive Marina motoring down the river for 5 minutes, and started repainting the gunwale ,the teak deck and the other outer wooden area with varnish.
   On Dec.1, KING BEE was hauled out by a belt lifter and placed on a cradle which she will be sitting more than three months on. In the site of Riverside Drive Marina, like the other yacht yards, there are conveniently a paiting shop, a metal shop and an engine repair shop. I got the quatation of hull repainingt selecting the economical hand painting because ,by law ,spray paiting has to be done inside a house which necessitates taking off the masts.
   Takaoka-san left on Dec.2 for Milfordsound trecking. Taguchi-san and I left Whangarei on Dec.3 and returned to Nagoya nextday. The beginning half of our Pacific cruising thus ended safely.

　私は来年3月10日ころワンガレイへ出かけ、船体塗装、セール修理を依頼したり、細々とした修理、諸準備、船底塗装などして船をまた水に浮かべ、同行者の到着を待って、4月中旬に太平洋航海後半へ船出する予定です。ニューカレドニア、バヌアツ、ソロモン、グアム、小笠原を経て母港の志摩ヨットハーバーへ来年秋に戻る予定です。また引き続きご支援、ご声援をよろしくお願いいたします。
